Jess+Lindon || New York State Museum Wedding Video || Albany NY Wedding ||

This has been a wonderful couple to have gotten to know and it was a pleasure to film their special day. One fun tidbit is that Lindon met with many of us vendors before he even proposed to Jess, and needless to say, I was definitely impressed with that initiative!

After the successful proposal, Lindon (and this time accompanied by Jess) and I met again to go over the wedding timeline, and the hours really flew by during the rendezvous because it felt as though we were chatting as old friends. During the meeting I also got to view some cool home videos that Lindon edited himself that were filmed in Las Vegas as well as his home country of Grenada. When we went over the wedding timeline, I was excited to learn about the carnival theme of their reception and that they were building many of the games/activities that would be featured at the cocktail hour.

On the day of the wedding Jess and her bridesmaids were a pleasure to be around and it was a blast to witness the fun-loving camaraderie that Lindon and his groomsman had throughout the entire day. Also, as expected, the cocktail hour on the veranda of the NYS Museum was super-special and fun to get footage of.

I truly wish this couple a wonderful life together filled with many more memorable days ahead!

Heather+Emile || Inn at Erlowest Wedding Video || Lake George NY Wedding ||

This idyllic wedding at Lake George was filled with many beautiful moments and speeches. Heather and Emile truly seem like perfect compliments to one another and it was a pleasure to be around them as well as their friends and family for the day.

My understanding is that both Emile and Heather work in the finance industry, and to paraphrase what Emile’s buddy, Ben, said in his toast, “may their investment in one another pay many love dividends”. I also wish them many wonderful future ski trips!

Also, I wanted to share a couple more components from their video; individual highlight videos of their getting ready and photo shoot :

Jenn+Peter || The Sagamore Wedding Video || Bolton Landing NY Wedding ||

Many things made this Sagamore wedding very special to cover. For example, I can’t think of a wedding that had as many first looks with so much emotion! This was also the first wedding I’ve filmed that had Nigerian elements to it, and must say, the music at the reception was very catchy and full of positive vibes. The energy on the dance floor was also pretty remarkable, and it seemed like every guest in attendance was dancing as soon as the DJ did his thing!

After being around both Jenn and Peter the for the day; what they wrote in their letters as well as what was touched upon in the toasts seem spot-on.  Jenn “dreams more than she sleeps” and Peter is the solid “rock” that helps ground them. Yes, perfect complements to each other and I think these two will go through life as wonderful companions.

I wish these newlyweds well and to paraphrase what the best man said in his toast to the couple, “may the sky be their starting point”.

Kristin+Drew Wedding || Franklin Plaza Wedding Video || Troy NY Wedding ||

This wedding day was packed with a lot of lively energy, which isn’t surprising, as Kristin and Drew seem like the type of couple that bring fun and laughter with them wherever they go. On the wedding day, both the couple and their wedding party provided many humorous candid moments, and there were also a good amount of sentimental parts sprinkled in there as well.

If love and laughter are strong indicators to a happily-ever-after, then I think it’s pretty safe to say that Kristin and Drew will be living very happily as a married couple!

Kelsey+Brenden Wedding || Old Daley on Crooked Lake Wedding Video || Averill Park NY Wedding ||

Everything about this wedding day seemed to perfectly suit this kindhearted couple wedding at the Old Daley on Crooked Lake. I also think Kelsey’s and Brenden’s choice of orange for the color theme was absolutely perfect (and it even matched with the fall foliage)!

Kelsey and Brendan look absolutely perfect together and definitely seem to have a bond rooted in deep friendship; and it didn’t surprise me when they mentioned that they have been a couple for many years.  Just like Kelsey and Brenden, their family and friends were very kind, welcoming, and funny throughout the entire day.

Basically, it was one of those weddings that was just plain ol’ good for the soul to witness and document!

Christina+Alan || Popponesset Inn Wedding Video || Mashpee MA Wedding ||

There were many moments throughout their wedding day that showed that Christina and Alan are perfect for one another, such as declaring their love for one another in their heartfelt vows or singing a Backstreet Boys tune during their reception. They share a likeness with their kind and fun-loving personalities, friends and family are high priorities for both of them, and it even seems like fate brought them together.

From the beginning of the getting ready process through the end of the reception, the day was filled with positive energy and high spirits. It was also fun to see some familiar faces throughout the day because I had filmed Alan’s sister’s wedding the previous year, and like that wedding, the couple was joined by their many amazing friends and family.

After witnessing these two together on their wedding day with their amazing family and friends, it seems inevitable that many more amazing and cherished memories are in store for this couple.

Becky+Jeff || The Sagamore Wedding Video || Short Wedding Film ||

This wedding day had many special moments throughout it: a flash mob performance at the reception, the father of the bride presenting a bottle of wine that was purchased the year Becky was born specifically with her wedding day in mind, and many, many, moments of silliness.

Lively. Funny. Zany. These are some of the words I’d use to describe Becky’s and Jeff’s wedding day at The Sagamore. I actually hadn’t met Becky in person before the wedding day, but from the instant that I met her and her bridal party, they made me and my second videographer, Brett, feel welcome and had us laughing just as quickly. I’d have to say that it’s difficult to recollect a bride with a more outgoing, friendly, and wonderfully silly personality as Becky.  It was truly a pleasure to be around her, Jeff, and their wedding party throughout the day.

I wish this couple well and am sure that they’ll continue to put all those around them in good spirits and have them laughing out loud.

Alison+Christine || Stone Tavern Farm Wedding Video || Short Wedding Film ||

This wedding took place on the beautiful countryside of the Stone Tavern Farm. I had been in touch with Alison through phone and e-mail conversations leading up to the wedding day. I got the sense that she and Christine had put a lot of time and preparation in the planning process, and it definitely showed on the their special day.

It started with the two brides getting ready at separate locations, and it was cool to see the different atmospheres and how they seemed to reflect each of the brides personalities. Alison got ready at a nice, peaceful, and relaxing bed and breakfast with her wedding party, while Christine’s getting ready process was filled with tons of energy (having young nieces and nephews there certainly helped in that regard).  A nice touch to the day was a pre-ceremony cocktail hour, where guests (many of whom I learned came from across the country as well as other countries) could mingle and enjoy good food and beverages before walking up the scenic hillside to witness the “I dos”.

Every reading at the ceremony was very fitting and the winner for the most memorable would probably go to Aunt Margaret’s emotional reading of Corinthians 13, and then her off-the-cuff speech about the specialness of Alison’s and Christine’s love. After the ceremony concluded, there were plenty of nice decorations all throughout the reception hall to get footage of. Just like all of the other portions of the day, the reception was filled with great energy that showed through on the packed dance floor, in the toasts, and oh yeah, the performance of Salt-N-Pepa’s “Shoop” by Christine and her sister.

It was fun to hear about the story of how Alison’s and Christine’s love came to be and I’d like to thank them for letting me and Hudson join them for the day. Speaking of Hudson, many thanks also go to him. He was my second shooter who helped me capture the day and got some very nice detail shots (some of which are featured in this short wedding film). It was also a pleasure to work with the other vendors throughout the day at this wonderful spring wedding.

Le’ana+Mark || Fasig Tipton Wedding Video || Short Wedding Film ||

There were so many great moments on this wedding day, and possibly the best in my opinion were the vows that Le’ana and Mark wrote to each other. Both vows were heartfelt and allowed me to get a glimpse of the special relationship that they share and why the two are so great for each other. I also have to say that Mark’s vows perfectly blended hilarity and endearingness at the same time, and made sure to include some of the best parts in this short wedding film.

I first met with Le’ana and a few of her friends for a bridal consultation about a year and a half before their wedding and was psyched when I heard that she and Mark were going to book me. It sounded like it’d be a truly special day at the Fasig Tipton in Saratoga Springs and it definitely lived up to expectations. In addition to those awesome vows, the ceremony and reception were filled with fitting readings and toasts, the first look at Congress Park was filled with sweet emotions, and it was just a great overall atmosphere with their family and friends rocking at the reception.

I wish this “strong-independent woman” and “strong-independent man” well on their on life together, and based on what I saw on their wedding day, these two will continue to push each other for the better and have a lot of fun in the process.
