Erica+Jeff || Saratoga National Golf Club Wedding Video || Saratoga Springs NY Wedding ||

It was fun to record Erica and Jeff on their wedding day as well as capture the unique elements they incorporated into it. For example, a live brass band played the Star Wars Throne Room tune (the one that played in the scene where Luke and Han (but not Chewie!) received their medals) as Jeff and his groomsman walked down the aisle. At the reception, the couple performed two songs; a duet of Mango Tree during their first dance, and Uptown Funk later in the evening with the wedding band, The Accents, where Jeff sang the lead and Erica played the trombone. Their dog, Blue, also joined in for the day, where he was an active member during the photo shoot and ceremony.

This was actually the second Correll wedding that I’ve filmed, where the first was Steve’s (Lauren+Steve) a couple years prior to Erica’s and Jeff’s wedding. Just like Steve, Jeff is a connoisseur of beer and has been known to brew his own batches. By the way, I should mention that Steve gave a humorous toast at the reception just like Jeff had done at his wedding two years prior (see the very end of the video for a small sample of it).

In addition to being a skilled trombone player, a cool and interesting fact I learned about Erica during our bridal meeting is that she’s an active volunteer for her local fire department. At that same bridal meeting I also recall the couple saying that they first met at a CVS that they both used to work at, and I definitely hope that their first encounter there happened just like Steve describes it where “Jeff was buying approximately 12 pounds of candy to smuggle into the movies in his cargo shorts”, because the image of that is totally hilarious!

I wish Erica and Jeff a wonderful life together, filled with many cold brewskis together when there isn’t a fire that needs to be put out!

Jess+Lindon || New York State Museum Wedding Video || Albany NY Wedding ||

This has been a wonderful couple to have gotten to know and it was a pleasure to film their special day. One fun tidbit is that Lindon met with many of us vendors before he even proposed to Jess, and needless to say, I was definitely impressed with that initiative!

After the successful proposal, Lindon (and this time accompanied by Jess) and I met again to go over the wedding timeline, and the hours really flew by during the rendezvous because it felt as though we were chatting as old friends. During the meeting I also got to view some cool home videos that Lindon edited himself that were filmed in Las Vegas as well as his home country of Grenada. When we went over the wedding timeline, I was excited to learn about the carnival theme of their reception and that they were building many of the games/activities that would be featured at the cocktail hour.

On the day of the wedding Jess and her bridesmaids were a pleasure to be around and it was a blast to witness the fun-loving camaraderie that Lindon and his groomsman had throughout the entire day. Also, as expected, the cocktail hour on the veranda of the NYS Museum was super-special and fun to get footage of.

I truly wish this couple a wonderful life together filled with many more memorable days ahead!

Kara+George || Canfield Casino Wedding Video || Saratoga Springs NY Wedding ||

You really can’t ask for a nicer couple than Kara and George and I’m glad to have had the opportunity to film their special day at the Canfield Casino. I had filmed George’s brother’s wedding the previous year (Meaghan+John), so I knew going into the day that this couple had great friends and family. Just like with John and Meaghan, it was fun to meet up with them before the wedding day to go over the timeline as well as chat about fun and random topics as well!

It certainly was a pleasure to be around this warm-hearted couple and get to film their beaming smiles throughout the entire day!

Heather+Emile || Inn at Erlowest Wedding Video || Lake George NY Wedding ||

This idyllic wedding at Lake George was filled with many beautiful moments and speeches. Heather and Emile truly seem like perfect compliments to one another and it was a pleasure to be around them as well as their friends and family for the day.

My understanding is that both Emile and Heather work in the finance industry, and to paraphrase what Emile’s buddy, Ben, said in his toast, “may their investment in one another pay many love dividends”. I also wish them many wonderful future ski trips!

Also, I wanted to share a couple more components from their video; individual highlight videos of their getting ready and photo shoot :

Jenn+Peter || The Sagamore Wedding Video || Bolton Landing NY Wedding ||

Many things made this Sagamore wedding very special to cover. For example, I can’t think of a wedding that had as many first looks with so much emotion! This was also the first wedding I’ve filmed that had Nigerian elements to it, and must say, the music at the reception was very catchy and full of positive vibes. The energy on the dance floor was also pretty remarkable, and it seemed like every guest in attendance was dancing as soon as the DJ did his thing!

After being around both Jenn and Peter the for the day; what they wrote in their letters as well as what was touched upon in the toasts seem spot-on.  Jenn “dreams more than she sleeps” and Peter is the solid “rock” that helps ground them. Yes, perfect complements to each other and I think these two will go through life as wonderful companions.

I wish these newlyweds well and to paraphrase what the best man said in his toast to the couple, “may the sky be their starting point”.

Kristin+Drew Wedding || Franklin Plaza Wedding Video || Troy NY Wedding ||

This wedding day was packed with a lot of lively energy, which isn’t surprising, as Kristin and Drew seem like the type of couple that bring fun and laughter with them wherever they go. On the wedding day, both the couple and their wedding party provided many humorous candid moments, and there were also a good amount of sentimental parts sprinkled in there as well.

If love and laughter are strong indicators to a happily-ever-after, then I think it’s pretty safe to say that Kristin and Drew will be living very happily as a married couple!

Taylor+Dan Wedding || The Otesaga Resort Wedding Video || Cooperstown NY Wedding ||

The maid of honor, Becca , said it best during her toast that Taylor and Dan “are a match made in heaven” (especially since they met at church). It’s tough to find as good-natured and nice of a couple as Taylor and Dan and I wish these newlyweds well. It was an honor to join them, their family, and friends on the hot and humid ;-), but also very wonderful day.

Kelsey+Brenden Wedding || Old Daley on Crooked Lake Wedding Video || Averill Park NY Wedding ||

Everything about this wedding day seemed to perfectly suit this kindhearted couple wedding at the Old Daley on Crooked Lake. I also think Kelsey’s and Brenden’s choice of orange for the color theme was absolutely perfect (and it even matched with the fall foliage)!

Kelsey and Brendan look absolutely perfect together and definitely seem to have a bond rooted in deep friendship; and it didn’t surprise me when they mentioned that they have been a couple for many years.  Just like Kelsey and Brenden, their family and friends were very kind, welcoming, and funny throughout the entire day.

Basically, it was one of those weddings that was just plain ol’ good for the soul to witness and document!

Christina+Alan || Popponesset Inn Wedding Video || Mashpee MA Wedding ||

There were many moments throughout their wedding day that showed that Christina and Alan are perfect for one another, such as declaring their love for one another in their heartfelt vows or singing a Backstreet Boys tune during their reception. They share a likeness with their kind and fun-loving personalities, friends and family are high priorities for both of them, and it even seems like fate brought them together.

From the beginning of the getting ready process through the end of the reception, the day was filled with positive energy and high spirits. It was also fun to see some familiar faces throughout the day because I had filmed Alan’s sister’s wedding the previous year, and like that wedding, the couple was joined by their many amazing friends and family.

After witnessing these two together on their wedding day with their amazing family and friends, it seems inevitable that many more amazing and cherished memories are in store for this couple.

Amanda+Matt Wedding || 90 State Street Wedding Video || Albany NY Wedding ||

This wedding day started out at Amanda’s parents’ house and ended at 90 State Street, and there were many nice moments nestled throughout its entirety. A couple of those moments were the toasts given by Matt’s brother and Amanda’s sister, where it was fun to learn more about the couple, such as how when Amanda and her sister would play Barbie, there was only one Ken doll, so they had to make do with using The Beast doll from Beauty and the Beast as a stand in for the second Ken.

I had actually filmed one of Amanda’s bridesmaids wedding, Melinda’s, the previous year and was honored that Amanda wanted me to film hers. Amanda and Matt look perfect together and they were both genuinely great to document for the day. I wish these newlyweds well and also wish them many more great softball seasons!
