Amanda+Matt Wedding || 90 State Street Wedding Video || Albany NY Wedding ||

This wedding day started out at Amanda’s parents’ house and ended at 90 State Street, and there were many nice moments nestled throughout its entirety. A couple of those moments were the toasts given by Matt’s brother and Amanda’s sister, where it was fun to learn more about the couple, such as how when Amanda and her sister would play Barbie, there was only one Ken doll, so they had to make do with using The Beast doll from Beauty and the Beast as a stand in for the second Ken.

I had actually filmed one of Amanda’s bridesmaids wedding, Melinda’s, the previous year and was honored that Amanda wanted me to film hers. Amanda and Matt look perfect together and they were both genuinely great to document for the day. I wish these newlyweds well and also wish them many more great softball seasons!

Lauren+Steve Wedding|| Revolution Hall Wedding Video || Troy NY Wedding ||

When I first met with Lauren to discuss the wedding, one of the things she mentioned was how the reception was most likely going to be super lively, and I can officially confirm that this was a correct prediction.

This couple and their guests brought an endless amount of fun energy to the reception, and it was smart of them to have all of the formalities at the very beginning of the reception so the rest of the evening could be spent rocking on the dance floor. In addition to the high-energy reception, there were also plenty of sentimental and impromptu funny moments sprinkled throughout the day. Unique parts of this day ranged from: Steve and the guests singing “Danny’s Song” as Lauren walked down the aisle with her father, Lauren’s and Steve’s emotional vows to one another, toasts using beer (Steve brews his own), and a packed dance floor pretty much throughout the entire night which was capped off by Lauren and Steve being tossed in the air by the guests.

I wish Lauren and Steve well and many more occasions of dancing the night away. I also think Lauren’s maid of honor, Alyssa, painted a nice and fitting picture of Lauren and Steve many years from now “sitting on a porch somewhere, sharing a fancy beer, remembering all of the good times”.

Katie+Jon Wedding || Canfield Casino Wedding Video || Saratoga Springs Wedding ||

It was a pleasure to join Katie, Jon, their wedding party, and their many nieces and nephews for their wedding in Saratoga Springs, NY. The day had a perfect blend of sentimental (example: Katie’s sister’s toast during the reception) and fun moments (example: the couple entering to The Right Stuff by New Kids on the Block). I also think it was really cool how they incorporated a custom Saratoga quarter pole into their wedding.

After being around them on their wedding day, Katie and Jon definitely seem like perfect matches for one another and wish them all the best as they continue on life’s journey as a married couple!

Jackie + Brendan || Wolferts Roost Wedding || Highlight Video ||

If you’ve checked out the videos on this blog before, then you’ve probably seen the groom from this wedding performing the Humpty Dance. This highlight video shows some of the other moments of the day besides Brendan’s awesome rap performance.

Jackie’s and Brendan’s wedding reception took place at Wolferts Roost Country Club, and I knew from the moment that the groomsman arrived at the church for the ceremony, that it would be a lively day with a lot of nice moments. As you’ll probably see in the pacing of the video, I tried to fit many of the festivities from the day into it.

Rachel + Sarah Wedding Montage || Key Hall at Proctors

It felt like winter was temporarily put on a hiatus here in Upstate New York to make Rachel’s and Sarah’s wedding day extra special! The temperature hit the 50 degrees mark, and it was great to enjoy the fresh air in the streets of Schenectady while Bruce and Wanda from Imagine Photography and Design led the photo shoot. Honestly though, I still would have been psyched to film this day even if mother nature had thrown a blizzard at us.

This was the first wedding I’d shot that featured two brides, and it was cool to see two sets of: bouquets, bridesmaid dresses, and wedding gowns. The first look ranked high on my favorite moments of the day, and it was a blast to capture Rachel’s and Sarah’s reactions when they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. They embraced as true soul mates and all the while looked amazing in their dresses.

After the photo shoot, it was off to the ceremony which was lovely, and then to the reception which was lively! Rachel and Sarah told me that their families would bring tons of energy, and they definitely delivered during the Tarantella and Horah dances. Credit also goes to DJ Vinny from NonStop Music for keeping the dance floor hopping.

What an awesome wedding to start off the 2014 season as well as to kick off the first post of this blog!
