Meaghan+John || Edison Club Wedding || Highlight Video ||

This wedding featured a unique blend of things you don’t see everyday: bagpipes, polka, line dancing, and even a toy pistol. Not surprisingly, it was a fun day and a fun couple to be around. When I first met with Meaghan and John, it was a pleasure to learn about them as a couple and discuss topics ranging from their wedding day to the TI-83 Plus calculator. These two have been an item since high school and there were sweet moments on their wedding day that indicated that their puppy love was still burning strong; like at one point nuzzling their heads during the ceremony.

Meaghan’s maid of honor mentioned in her toast that 133,225 days after their wedding day it will be their 50th anniversary, where they’ll be surrounded by their children and grandchildren. It wouldn’t surprise me that on that same day they’ll be doing the polka and continue to exude their love with a youthful spirit.

Katie+Andrew || Chatham Bars Inn Wedding || Highlight Video ||

What a wonderful Cape Cod wedding this was; on such a beautiful sunny and windy (Katie’s father definitely deserves props for building such a sturdy chuppah) day. It was a pleasure to join Katie and Andrew on their wedding day, as well as their great group of family and friends. Speaking of family and friends, my college buddy Zach, was actually in attendance with his girlfriend Emily, who’s the sister of the groom.

There were some little things from this wedding that I found cool and entertaining. For example, the table cards came with little potted plants. I also found it amusing that one of the flowers/plants in the bouquets reminded me of an artichoke. It was also fun to film the four flower girls walking down the aisle.

I wish this lovely couple a happy life together and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that the chuppah is still standing strong!

Danielle+Jason || Sagamore Wedding || Highlight Video ||

Danielle and Jason seem like perfect complements to each other; with Danielle being full of energy and Jason being cool and composed. I gathered from some of the toasts that their wedding day was a long time in the making; as they first met as children, became high-school sweethearts, and are now husband and wife. It was a pleasure to join them on their special day and it was clear that they had an abundance of loving friends and family in their lives (11 of them being groomsman!), and wish them many more joyous moments and memories.

Julissa+Adam || Top of the World Golf Resort Wedding || Highlight Video ||

Julissa and Adam not only share a love for one another, but also a love for having fun. Their strong connection is easily evidenced by their heartfelt vows. There was also a collection laugh out loud moments from the day that included…the dry humor of the ceremony officiant, wedding party dance performances of the Harlem Shake and Drake’s Started from the Bottom, Julissa’s and Adam’s love story told through a Fresh Prince of Bel Air rap by the maid of honor with the other bridesmaids as background dancers, the best man (Adam’s brother) giving one of the longest but also one of the funniest toasts I’ve heard, and a wide collection of goofy faces while posing for pictures throughout the day. While all of those moments didn’t make it into the final cut of the highlight video, they’re all in the full version.

The quality to make each other laugh, while at the same time being attuned on a deep emotional level is a common theme I’ve gathered about the relationships of couples I’ve filmed on their wedding days; and the bond that Julissa and Adam has is a prime example of this. Cheers to them and many more moments of fun!

Erin+Jay || Glen Sanders Mansion Wedding || Highlight Video ||

There were a variety of elements that made this a unique and fun wedding to film. For example, as a tribute, the groom, Jay, and his groomsman each wore a t-shirt representing a superhero underneath their suits (I was glad to see that Spiderman was represented). It was also nice to join Jeff, the photographer, and get some footage from the dock at the Glen Sanders Mansion of Jay and Erin with a full moon in the background. Of all of the unique aspects to this wedding though, the showcase of musical talents tops my list. Jay did a great job playing his acoustic guitar during the photo shoot, but that’s not the performance I’m thinking of. See, the bride, Erin, has a reputation for performing Rapper’s Delight on special occasions.

That in itself would have been a fun moment to film, but what made it even more special was that she had a partner to perform it with; Jay, who was making his rap debut. I’ve got to say, it was an honor to be chosen to record that moment on video. The crowd loved their performance, of course. Also, being his debut, I wouldn’t have figured that Jay would have as seasoned-sounding of a hip-hop voice as he did, but I think he definitely had a Beastie Boy type sound going for him. Now that I think of it, I may need to create a blog post just for their performance.

While on the topic of uniqueness, Erin’s and Jay’s relationship seems pretty special in itself. Leading up to their wedding day, they had already been a couple for 12 years, and I picked up a vibe that their relationship consists of both a deep love and deep friendship that happy couples who’ve been together for a long time always seem to have. Erin and Jay were a pleasure to be around for the day and it was fun to learn more about them by talking with them and also from the toasts (like how in addition to having a passion for comic books, Jay is also an avid Star Wars fan). To sum up, I wish this couple many more memorable rap performances and as Chris, the best man said, may the force be with them, always.

Crystal + Eric || Albany Country Club Wedding || Highlight Video ||

This wedding had kind of a reunion-type feel to it for me. Rachel and Sarah, whose wedding I filmed a few months earlier, were there as guests. I also had the pleasure of working alongside Leah Bailly of Bailly photography, who I hadn’t crossed paths with in several years. The biggest blast from the past though was one of the bridesmaids, Emily. She was one of my sister’s best childhood friends and as I found out at the bridal meeting, also Crystal’s roommate from college. I hadn’t seen Emily in over a decade, and it’s funny how small the world can be.

Although I first met Crystal and Eric only a couple months before their wedding, they’re such a fun and affable couple that on their wedding day, it felt like I had known them for years. Also, based on the two times I’ve seen them, it’s super-apparent how they’re a perfect match for each other. I sense both an equally strong love and friendship between the two of them. From what I gathered from the toasts, it appears that they’ll have no problem maintaining a spotless house, making each other laugh, or sharing their passion for The Lord of the Rings.

This highlight video has a sentimental feel to it, but there was definitely enough content from the day to have styled it with a funny and lighthearted theme. Something that I find both touching and funny about the end of this video is how three of the bridesmaids sequentially start to tear up at the end of Crystal’s vows. To hear a short sound bite from Crystal about her own crying, be sure to watch the very end of the video.

An Inside Look at a Sean Junda Wedding Film

To help prospective couples get a better understanding of what one of the wedding films consists of, I wanted to make a post that includes all of the components of one of my typical wedding packages. These videos are from Melinda’s and Mike’s wedding at the NY State Museum from earlier this year.

It includes highlight videos of the getting ready, photo shoot, cocktail hour, as well as a montage from the entire day. In addition, it has the entire ceremony, all formalities of the reception, as well as a good amount of the action from the dance floor. You’ll probably notice that the highlight videos are set to music and have an artistic touch to them, while the ceremony and reception videos document the moments as they occurred in real-time. The ceremony and reception portions of the video typically total 2+ hours in length, so in this post I just included several-minute snippets from those parts, but they should give you a good feel for how the real-time edits are styled. Hope you enjoy!

Jackie + Brendan || Wolferts Roost Wedding || Highlight Video ||

If you’ve checked out the videos on this blog before, then you’ve probably seen the groom from this wedding performing the Humpty Dance. This highlight video shows some of the other moments of the day besides Brendan’s awesome rap performance.

Jackie’s and Brendan’s wedding reception took place at Wolferts Roost Country Club, and I knew from the moment that the groomsman arrived at the church for the ceremony, that it would be a lively day with a lot of nice moments. As you’ll probably see in the pacing of the video, I tried to fit many of the festivities from the day into it.

Laura+Ben Hyannisport Club Wedding || Sneak Preview || Cape Cod Wedding ||

Each wedding I’ve had the pleasure of filming this year has had an element that makes the wedding day unique and special to be a part of as a videographer. One of those elements from Laura’s and Ben’s recent wedding on Cape Cod was the photo shoot. It had been raining the entire day (which by the way didn’t affect Laura and Ben’s high spirits one bit), and pretty much right on cue, the skies opened right when the couple’s photo shoot began. This was the first time I had done a wedding at the Hyannisport Club, and seeing the view it had of the ocean at sunset had me pretty giddy to get footage of the photo shoot.

Here’s a short sneak preview video that has some footage from that photo shoot. I look forward to putting together the entire video for these newlyweds.
